Liverpool Sound City is the largest international music, digital and film festival and conference in the UK, welcoming over 360 artists, in over 25 venues in Liverpool’s city centre, with over 40,000 music fans and over 3000 industry professionals.
Every year they take pride in bringing some of the most exciting breakthrough artists to the festival, giving the city an opportunity to see tomorrows major acts up close and personal, before anyone else. Previous years have seen the likes of Florence And The Machine, The Maccabees and Ed Sheeran take to local venues and converted urban spaces as part of the festival.
Rich Thane, The Line Of Best Fit
‘An incredible event, really. Amazingly well organised – great bands – great people – clear time schedule that was always bang on time too. One of the smoothest and stress free conferences I’ve ever been to – thanks for letting me be involved!’
Alex Yau, Drowned in Sound
‘Packed with as much variety as Ringo Starr’s postbox, albeit with quality, LSC reinforced Liverpool as a musical hotspot.’
Rob Webb, NME
‘Liverpool has always been a city of sound, so it’s great to see an event that opens up this buzzing music community to an outside audience. Great bands, great venues and great vibes – or, as they say in these parts, ‘boss’!’
Sybil Bell, Clash
‘Sound City was great again this year – excellent networking as always and some good new bands on the circuit.’
Elena Goodison, Independent
‘Liverpool Sound City has established itself at the forefront of the UK indie music festival circuit… LSC is an adventurous voyage of discovery and offers the unique opportunity to experience the delights of a wonderful city.’
Conor McDonnal, The Fly
‘Sound City just gets better and better. I’ve been to every one and after I wonder how it can be better next year; low and behold they manage to do it! This year was the best yet, such a good line up and locations! Can’t wait till next year!’
